Allorey is a worldbuilding project and series of comics. Set in the distant Rey solar system, which legend says was created by the serpent in its star.

While many formations surround its star, most of Allorey regards Ternual, an earth-like planet abundant in life.

You can view its life in the Bestiary, or view the planet’s various locations on the World Map.

Allorey draws influences from both fantasy and sci-fi settings, and aims to be immersive with its attention to detail, grounded viewpoint, and basis in scientific concepts, without limiting itself to realism and reality as we know it.

In-universe terms have underlined tooltips on their first mention, and can be tapped to show more info.
Links you can click to go to different place are golden. Sometimes other colours will be used, but generally will not be links.
Words from in-universe languages are italicised on first mention, so you know they aren’t ‘real’ terms. Anglicised words like place names aren’t italicised, to differentiate their meaning. For example, Calabern comes from Calo Bernu, archaic for ‘fire bowl’.
Sometimes boxes will contain additional content. Darker boxes contain in-universe content, while coloured boxes will contain meta content, such as site notices, author commentary, or speculation that should not be taken as canon.

Features

In the top right corner you will find a menu for accessibility tools if you need them.
Sometimes more information will be given via¹ a numbered link². Click one, no need to worry about scrolling back up!
Most images on the site can be tapped to expand them, if you want to take a closer look.
This site also has interactive images! Usually they are in the form of maps, which you can move and tap to highlight areas, visit pages, or receive extra information.
